History of the
European EdTech Alliance

In October 2019, a group of EdTech alliances and associations from around Europe was brought together by Svenia Busson (EdTech France) to exchange ideas about how they could best collaborate. During the time together, the organisations were able to share common challenges and solutions, and saw a clear path forward to supporting each other. The idea of the EEA was born.

Throughout the pandemic, this group of organisations grew and met almost weekly at times, exchanging knowledge and supporting each other with ideas for providing leadership in this difficult time. The members were able to contribute to the wider political discourse and provide clear solutions through the discussions they shared.

In 2021, the EEA was officially entered as a non-for-profit organisation in the German registry of associations and has since grown to almost 30 members across over 25 countries working together with the most important bodies representing education in Europe.
