European EdTech Alliance and Forum Bildung Digitalisierung launch EdTech Policy Lab in Germany
The European EdTech Alliance (EEA) has joined forces with Forum Bildung Digitalisierung (FBD) and leading foundations to launch the EdTech Policy Lab, a new initiative designed to strengthen collaboration between policymakers, school administrations, and the EdTech sector in Germany.
The project addresses long-standing barriers to effective digital education strategies, including limited trust, transparency, and mutual understanding between key actors. By bringing together representatives from ministries, school authorities, and EdTech associations in structured dialogue formats, the EdTech Policy Lab will explore solutions for procurement, quality assurance, and digital infrastructure.
The aim is to create sustainable cooperation and process structures that enable digital innovations to better support schools, whether in data-driven school development or in fostering core competencies. The Policy Lab also seeks to develop a shared vision for how EdTech solutions can meaningfully contribute to education.
The initiative is a joint project of Forum Bildung Digitalisierung, the European EdTech Alliance, the Bertelsmann Stiftung, the Robert Bosch Stiftung, the Vodafone Stiftung Deutschland, and the Heraeus Bildungsstiftung.
