Time for Action: Making Edtech a key driver in the European digital education ecosystem

For the past months, the European Edtech Alliance has been part of a roundtable by invitation of Mariya Gabriel, European Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth. Together with other edtech organisations, we identified the key challenges our Edtech communities face and some of the ways we can come together to ensure that future innovations can be sustainably supported and bold new visions for education implemented. This work resulted in a document, Time for Action: Making Edtech a key driver in the European digital education ecosystem

We were honoured to present this document together with the Commissioner as part of the European Commissions Digital Education Stakeholder Forum, and represent the 2400 organisations of the EEA with one unified voice.

The past two years have shown us not only how agile and willing to help the EdTech industry is, but also the vitally important role it plays within the larger education ecosystem so that we can provide multiple access points to those meaningful learning opportunities, quickly innovate and provide stability so that learners and educators can continue their learning and teaching journeys no matter what other challenges we, as a society, are facing.

The European Edtech Alliance firmly supports all steps which support the sustainable development of the European edtech ecosystem.
