Informing Policy, Developing Sustainability

Working together with the EU and local governments

EEA Representation at Policy Events

We are dedicated to lowering the barriers to entry and innovation in the Edtech ecosystem and are actively working to improve the systems and possibilities available to our EdTech startups and scale-ups.

We aim to support Edtech startups on their journey across Europe - and beyond - by helping them to navigate new Edtech landscapes and ecosystems. This means helping them to find the information and connections they are looking for in order to apply for grants, access local partners, connect with investors and those already operating in the markets they hope to enter.

We support the entire startup ecosystem

Startup Task Force

The startup taskforce is working on :

  • A database with our entities and what they can offer to startups

  • An observatory with mapping of all the startups present in each of our represented countries to give more visibility on who’s doing what, where

  • Collaboration between countries with a variety of partners based on topical areas

  • Calendar of the key events about education in every country (exhibitions, forums)

  • Organize European Investor forums in our regions

We aim to initiate and participate in cross-border learning exchanges. Aligned with national interests, we develop neutral solutions at a European level to nurture cooperation across our respective internal markets and to strengthen European Edtech globally.

We achieve this through exchanging knowledge, sharing best practice examples and informing EU and national policy and decision making bodies. as well as establishing cooperation to develop standardisation at all levels necessary.

We inform, connect and develop

Public Policy Task Force

The public policy taskforce is working on :

  • Establishing cooperation to harmonise technical standards and increase data interoperability and safety

  • Supporting the definition of principles for the industry

  • Exchanging knowledge, sharing best practices and informing policy and support researchers and testbeds, in order to raise awareness of innovation in education technology.

  • Initiating advisories and sharing insights from our collective experiences on supporting the Edtech sector with international Ministries of Education, the European Commission or within our respective countries.
